La chair est à la fois l'incarnation de l'esprit et son opposé, sa limite. La chair que je représente, que j'expose, que j'explose, n'est ni bonne, ni mauvaise, coupable de rien et décomplexée, elle n'est pas pécheresse car elle n'a pas de conscience d'être et pourtant elle est le support sur lequel s'expriment les émotions, sans jugement ni tabou. Elle devient organe.
Ces corps sont ce qu'ils expriment à un instant donné, suspendus dans le temps, sans prétention ni jugement.
Dans la plupart de mes peintures il y a un corps central qui se multiplie, qui tend à devenir plusieurs, qui explose, répand sa matière, se propage sous l'effet d'un force qui vient de l'intérieur. Sans doute cherche-t-il à sortir de ses propres limites ou échapper à la solitude et à l'enfermement.
Parfois au contraire, comme dans le mythe d'Aristophane, deux corps semblent vouloir s'unir, se mélanger pour ne devenir qu'un.
J'exprime donc cette double tension de l'un qui veut devenir multiple et du multiple qui veut aboutir à l'unité.

Sometimes, on the contrary, as in the myth of Aristophanes, two bodies seem to want to unite, to mix to become one.
I therefore express this double tension of the one who wants to become multiple and the multiple who wants to lead to unity.
